The Last "1st Day of School" Photo

"Snap" -- and that's that. The end of a 13-year tradition: Katie and James with their backpacks, on the back steps, on their first day of school (with the morning sun hitting them right in eyes). They went through a phase in middle school where they didn't much like to cooperate with this routine, but I persevered. So now somewhere, in albums, boxes and on discs throughout our house, there are the makings for an interesting photo montage, K-12 -- from 35 mm to digital. It might make for an interesting Graduation Day display, eh?

The summer went by too quickly. I'd had hopes of contributing some "news", but by the time I got around to it, it was old.

Leslie,
Oh my gosh. What a beautiful tradition. I am so glad you took pictures of Katie and James every year with their backbacks on on their way to the first day of school. We'd love to see them here when you get them together!

To me they are still 10 year old kids. Probably will always be. You and Steve deserve a big pat on the back. They have turned out great. Can't wait to see you guys again!

And one more thing! Don't worry about posting old news. It's new to us. Would love to see more pictures and hear more stories from the Warners and Goudies!

Leslie, we hope that you put more "Goudie and Warner side of the family" picts and info on this site. Hope that next year you, etal, can make it out to Ashley for some old time fun and relaxation. We miss all of you!!!

Laurie and Sandy,

We are hoping to do a Montana road trip next summer, which would, of course, include a visit to Ashley Lake. We'll keep you posted.
