Thanksgiving in Galesburg and Other Tall Tales

We've returned from a delightful Thanksgiving weekend in Galesburg, where we were joined by the Howells and my Uncle Bob (Joanne's brother). It was a typical Goudie gathering -- no shortage of oddities, mishaps, and risky behavior. We had a lively and spirited dinner at Mom and Dad's and then spent a full, adventurous day at the Farm, where Patrick wrestled for an hour with some 7'-tall stalks of burdock in an effort to blaze a new trail. Here he is emerging victoriously from the nasty patch.

Unfortunately his sweater didn't fare so well...

Below are Harland and James Harland on the farm's back porch, with Harland enjoying an 11 AM Stout Ale. (Yes, the house is heated now!).

And the Goudie parents and grandchildren just before we left the Goudie household early this morning. Note Galesburg's first dusting of snow this season.

Hey Les, Thanks for the pictures... I've heard about the farm but I've never seen any shots of it. Your folks look great and the kids are all grown up! Glad to hear all is well.
